The art of 1960s pulp KRIMI literature: Using stills and themes from the KRIMI movies.
Pulp novels had been a huge influence on the KRIMI movies. With their success though, they inspired hundreds of those cheap, stapled novellas which of course used stills from the movies. Most of the times those stills had nothing to do with the story but sometimes they went hand in hand. What is "The Mystery of the White Tulip?" one might ask and picture Joachim Fuchsberger in a Rialto-Version of the story.
